Sammy is the proud owner of The Studio and has worked tirelessly to perfect her skill set, ensuring every client receives exceptional care and outstanding results. With a deep passion for helping clients feel confident and empowered, Sammy always takes the time to provide personalised advice on the best treatments for each individual. She is equally dedicated to mentoring her team, ensuring their skills are consistently of the highest standard.
After spending eight years living and working in New Zealand, Sammy returned to Halifax and founded The Studio in 2016. Her vision was clear: to create a space where beauty is fun, fearless, and empowering. “Our whole approach to beauty is with a ‘F*ck it! Attitude,” Sammy says—a philosophy that inspires confidence and self-expression.
With over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Sammy has specialised in multiple areas throughout her career. She began as a Makeup Artist, focusing on weddings in New Zealand and providing stage makeup for women competing in NABBA bodybuilding competitions. Sammy is extensively trained in Micropigmentation, offering permanent makeup solutions for brows and lips that enhance natural features. Additionally, she is a qualified Lash & Brow Technician and a Botched Ink Tattoo Removal Specialist.
Sammy’s unwavering commitment to her craft and her clients’ well-being has made The Studio a trusted, welcoming space for all.

Tilly is our Senior Stylist and a Level 3 qualified beauty professional. She first joined The Studio in February 2022 as a work experience placement, and her passion, talent, and dedication quickly earned her a permanent role as a Junior Technician under Sammy’s guidance.
Since then, Tilly has amazed us with her ability to master new skills swiftly and deliver outstanding results for her clients. She has undergone meticulous in-house training Lash Extensions, Lash & Brow Styling Services, and Gel X Nail Extensions, making her a versatile and highly skilled member of our team.
Tilly shares Sammy’s values when it comes to beauty—she believes in enhancing natural beauty, building confidence, and providing a comfortable, judgement-free experience for every client. With her keen attention to detail, exceptional work ethic, and genuine love for what The Studio represents, Tilly has become an integral part of our team.

Tia joined The Studio in 2023 as a work experience student, initially unsure of the path she wanted to take. Her strong work ethic and budding interest in nails quickly caught Sammy’s attention. Recognizing her potential, Sammy dedicated time to training Tia, and she has since excelled, becoming our Salon Nail Specialist.
Tia now offers a range of nail services, including Gel Colour Manicures, BIAB Manicures, and Gel X Nail Extensions. Her talent and dedication have earned her a loyal client base, and she consistently delivers beautiful, high-quality results.
In addition to her expertise in nails, Tia is also trained in Lash Lifts and Brow Lamination & Styling treatments.
Her versatility and natural talent make her a valuable member of our team, and we are excited to see where her skills and passion will take her in the future.
